...most foreigners I have been (when traveling in foreign countries) in contact recognize that just because I'm an American doesn't mean that I voted for Bush or that I'm anything like him. Most college-educated foreigners recognize that the Bush voters are the ones who DON'T travel, and that many of them represent a small but VERY POWERFUL "religious right" minority. Not that I'm saying religiously-minded people are idiots, only that they are voting based on subjects (such as gay marriage) that are NOT the country's most pressing issues.
Yep, most foreigners like me, despite the fact that I hail from the US and A. :)
