04/03/98: New Thread. Rejoice.

The thread that I was posting in is somewhere beneath all of these OTHER threads, and so I am left with only one option - establish a new thread. Don't worry, though. I'll stay on topic. I won't stray from the movie. Yet.

Personally, I liked most of this movie. I remember making some loud comment about Leo's character (the evil one) being a bastard, and I made the comment while the screen was quiet....I remember a few people snickering....

Just like the other night, while seeing "The Wedding Singer" (I liked the movie, even if you didn't) when I loudly proclaimed that the asshole boyfriend was a "cocksucker." Again, it slipped out just as the characters onscreen shut up, leaving my comment hanging in the very quiet, though almost empty, theater. People did laugh - those that weren't staring at me, shocked.

Oh, come on. If you've seen either movie, you know that "cocksucker" very succintly sums up Leo's evil King and that asshole boyfriend in "The Wedding Singer." Why be shocked when someone says it? Just because it's said out loud during the movie? Come on, lighten up. The language ONSCREEN tends to be worse.

Just random thoughts....

And seeing Leo in an iron mask really cheered me up, considering the fact that he looks so snotty and holier-than-thou-art so much of the time.
