"There’s a little sub-plot about Jakob hiding out and taking care of a concentration camp runaway Jewish girl (who, at 10, is the spitting image of Anne Frank – perhaps that was on purpose)."

Posted approximately 4 days before Cranky uploaded his review of "Jakob the Liar." And I wasn't being literal when I said he "stole a line" from me. Obviously our lines are not identical. And I did say in that same post you're attacking: "But then again, I think anybody could see she was supposed to look like Frank, probably competely on purpose."
But since I'm sure he reads many of the posts here, there's always the possibility that he could be influenced to some degree by some of us. Surely you've seen Eamon J. Doyle's mention in the "Kiss Me Guido" review. And don't forget the time Bickle accused Mr. C of plagiarism in "10 Things I Hate About You," and Mr. C actually responded, saying, "You're right, that review wasn't very original," or something like that.
No, I don't really think he was influenced by me. But you never know...
By the way, why didn't you accuse grundle of being CFL-like last week when he straight out asked if Mr. C if he stole the extremely common phrase "legal mumbo jumbo" from him for the "Double Jeopardy" review? And how about in "An Ideal Husband" when Tick said "Somebody's been reading Richard's posts -- Notice the clever use of "disingenuous" in Cranky's review. It's a hello to Richard!" in response to Cranky's line "This is a very disingenuous fantasy film that takes place in an alternate universe in which British people are supposed to be blithely amusing"?
I'm just saying people claim Cranky is quoting them, stealing from them, being influenced by them all the time and you don't call their actions CFL-like. I don't see why you have to slander me with the name of the most unholy of unholies to ever set foot in Crankyland for doing something so many other people besides that guy did. Not that I remember CFL ever claiming that Cranky "stole a line" from him, but I'm just saying.
Are we cool again?
