It's only the first issue, but I didn't like it as much this time. Maybe just a loss of innocence, but still...
The supporting super-heroes were given no character development at all, and I didn't really care about them.
The conflict between Bats and Supes was non-existent in this issue - Bruce is right, and Clark is wrong. There was little or none of the differing moral viewpoints that occured in the first series.
Agree - Carrie Kelly was cool. Although why she should abandon the Robin costume is unclear to me, and given that Selina and Bruce had a relationship, it's somewhat iffy.
Artwork - did Klaus Janson do the inks on the original? Cuz the artwork is very loose. The opening scenes with Palmer are, um, scratchy. Which can work, but here, to me, didn't.
However, given all these negatives - wow! Miller, as usual, just taps the mood of the nation perfectly! I'll be buying the next two, anyway.
