1) Were guys more romantic in times past? And were women more ready, willing, and able in the past as well?
No. It's just that society's ideals of romance have changed. Today, sex is too large a dictator of whether or not a relationship succeeds.
2) Can you name all the films you've seen or heard of that feature a time-travel romance? If you can list more than one please go now and look for a cop on horseback somewhere and lie down under the horse's ass with your mouth open.
Actually, there are quite a few: Somewhere in Time, Back to the Future III, The Terminator, Timecop, 12 Monkeys, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home.
3) Ever been in love and thought it was just like the movies or is your idea of love being with someone that bathes and can rock your sexual world?
My love obsessions have been predominately of the unrequitted variety.
4) So are you a closet Meg Ryan fan or a blatant one or do you despise her as a chick that plays the same characters in too many movies? Feel free to name your favorite Meg Ryan roles and/or list off the films she shouldn't have touched even if promised the opportunity to do a blowjob on an Aussie actor.
I don't really care either way. She's kind of hot, though. Maybe one day she'll wise up and agree to an extended full-frontal sequence.

Yes. Kick-ass American film debut.
