It seams to be that the over all empty feeling that most movie frequenters experience after seeing many of todays empty, and insignificant films, has made us, rather some of us to jaded to recognize a good film when we see one. Case in point "Kicking and Screaming", a.k.a., best ever. For those of you who boast about the gen-x style of film making, and say that Noah Baumbach's, no scrap that more respect is deserved, Mr. Baumbach's dialouge was insignificant and trite, I would love to see you write anything better. Writting is a fine art, and is something that is lost in todays production priority's. It's films like this one, who maintain it's integrity, and fight against the truley pathetic movies i.e., Conspiracy Theory, Men in Black, anything with Nicholas Cage post Leaving LasVegas, Contact, and Ronin. In the age of Big effects finance= the media brainwashing the general publick as to what is good or not, we must leave the door open for film like The opposite of Sex, Buffalo 66, American History x, Can't Hardley Wait, True Romance (Basicaly anything with Christopher Walken), Last days of Disco, and Barcelona. Oh, and god forbid you see a documentary one in a while, like Kurt and Coutrney. Get out there America see what's realy good, and stop beeing spoon fed into thinking, the Big Labowski, was some artsy movie that not everyone was subposed to see, and you were one of the few who saw it much less knew about it. WAKE UP!, and go rent The Ice Storm.
