I find the last sentence of your review ironic, because I rented this movie a second time without realizing I'd seen it once already. Being a fan of the small ensemble smarter-than-gen-X-and-yet-still-of-that-generation genre, I was twice-fooled by the attractive people on the cover and the premise of young people struggling to grow the hell up and become the adults they hope and dream and know they can someday be.

HOWEVER, I did not have that experience (TWICE) while watching this movie. I realized that I forgot I'd rented it the first time because it was ultimately forgettable the first time around. I prob'ly fell asleep. In fact, even having seen it twice I don't quite remember or care what it was about. Except Stoltz was playing the same fucking role he always plays in these little flicks, except he's getting a bit old for this, don't you think?

I'm tired of whiny kids in their twenties who just don't seem to get it. None of them want to take responsibility for the pathetic state their lives are in. There just wasn't a lot of self-awareness in this movie, which is something I look for in an indie movie.
