My comment that it didn't really affect her standing was certainly incorrect. But at the same time I don't think the fan's actions in the long run helped or hindered Graff. She's still known now as she was then, a good but not great player.
The only person that was changed in the long run was Seles because she was hurt in her prime and, as you say, never did return to her previous form so instead of being known as great she's known as a might-have-been. It is a shame.
