The standard lot in this subdivision is going to be 5000 sq. ft. So we actually got a lot and a third. The other benefit we got as one of the first five people in the subdivision was the choice of just about any property we wanted so we picked one that backed up to the park that is going to run through the property, that way we don't actually have any neighbors behind us, only on the two sides, so it's perhaps better than it sounds.
The problem with the Portland area is that it seems all the good homes are on less than a quarter acre and all the large lots have these houses from the 70s that look like they're about to fall down.
It's a lose/lose situation. YAAAYYYY us!
