I'll go so far as to say that I actually liked Waterworld. Sure maybe it was a little too much like the last 2 Mad Max films but then again every other action movie that came out at that time was too much like Die Hard. I guess that makes it sort of original. The movie had good action sequences and the humor was usually pretty funny. I think it's just a movie that nobody liked because they so much wanted to hate it.
