...I just caught the remake of Psycho yesterday and had a good laugh. Who the fuck are they kidding?
1) NORMAN ISN'T GAY--Vince Vaughn plays him like a stereotypical homosexual. No, seriously, take a look at the damn film and say that those limp wrists don't mean that.
2) THERE'S NO NEED TO BRING THIS INTO THE '90S--It's a product of the '60s, plain and simple. Adding lines like "Let me go get my WALKMAN!(?)" doesn't automatically update the piece. It makes it look stupid, like....
3) ED WOOD WOULD BE PROUD--What kind of director is Gus Van Sant? He sure as hell isn't a director! The inspiration he gave them must have been A CUE CARD!!!!!!!!!!
4) INCIDENTAL MUSIC IS A BEAUTIFUL THING!!!!--Where's the music throughout the movie? You know, the suspenseful Bernard Hermann music that shocks you? WHAT THE FUCK WERE THE MAKERS OF THIS FILM THINKING??????
5) THE BIGGEST FOLLY THAT EVERYONE SHOULD LEARN: Don't spend a couple of million on a film that someone could go down to the video store and spend two bucks on. Add another extra "Don't" if the one at the store is BETTER.
