...the same way X-Man likes to get a bunch of angry responses is the same thing that makes Rush operate, with one difference of course. Money.
Rush gets paid to do what he does. The more nasty, unfounded, and full of holes his statement is, the more people are drawn in to arguing and talking about him. If he actually invited the guy on the show and resolved the issue, people wouldn't talk about it as much. He gets more attention for being an asshole.
The only problem is that he gets people angry for a living. Getting people angry and putting them in a bad mood for fun on the internet or as a job on a radio isn't cool. Spreading anger is not a good thing, and not something to be proud of. It's how wars start, it's how feelings get hurt. It's not some fun little game, it's real people.
