"If you're right about human nature, then women will always want to do those things anyway. Why would you need to fight to enforce what nature's already taken care of?"

Because most feminists don't accept that women being domestic and taking care of children comes out of nature. They call it a social construct and try to convince women that they don't really want to do it.

"If you're now tempted to say that they can't do the basics as well when they're focused on other things, I'll return to my much-earlier statement that women can choose to be, and handle being, multi-dimensional with much greater ease than can men, b/c of the testotesterone factor."

I don't recall that statement, so you'll have to elaborate on it. I can't imagine why you would think women are more adept than men at doing a variety of things (what about the Renaissance Man?). That argument reminds me of the idea that women are can endure more pain than men because childbirth is the most painful experience in the world. More painful than getting your leg blown off by a landmine? More painful than sawing your hand off in metal shop?

"That's not what I meant - I meant 'dominate' as in outstanding in a field, as in Margaret Thatcher or Madeleine Albright."

Those two women are exceptions to the rule, which is the basic argument of Goldberg's book.

"Oh, and get off it. You know I'm a girl."

I'm sorry, I honestly had no idea. You never said anything to reveal your gender...are you hot?

As to your lengthy second post, I'll try to get around to it eventually. Maybe you should send it to the author of the article and see what he thinks.
