Happy New Year, and you made a topside post, too! I'll need to read your post over again to be sure I got it, but I remember a history professor long (long!) ago in my undergrad days doing a Valentine's Day lecture on the royal families of Europe during the late 1800s and early 1900s, and the cornerstone was the love story between Franz Ferdinand and his beloved Sophie.
