1. Unless it is a franchise (Lethal Weapon), the more appealing the sidekick cop, the more likely he will bite the dust. I called it during PREVIEWS for "Copycat", "Speed", and "In the Line of Fire". So much for suspense.

2. Terrified woman being chased having a choice between a brightly-lit area teeming with people and a dark alley, will always choose the alley. This is a woman too stupid to live.

3. The same woman will trip precisely at the three-quarter mark of that same alley.

4. A slow moving killer-monster (Living Dead, etc.) will ALWAYS be able to catch up to that same stupid woman who is running as fast as she can. At that point, I root for the killer. Keep the genetic pool clean.

5. With back against the wall, being approached by killer using only his hands as weapons, this same idiot bimbo will stand there and wait for it. Personally, I would introduce parts of his body to my foot, fingernails, elbows and knees, all the while trying to break his eardrums with a piercing scream. But then, I'm no movie heroine.

6. Anyone standing with his or her back to the door will be surprised by some threat coming through the door.

7. Our same terrified woman on the telephone seeking salvation from immediate danger will inevitably have her back to the room while calling. Duh.

There's more, but that'll do for now. Think I'll go jogging down an alley. S:-)
