The New York Museum of Art at one time had a piece of late 1960's "art" that had been lauded by the critics, hanging in a gallery. After it had been there for almost a month, the artist happened to stop by, to bask in the glow that his (ahem) masterpiece was in such a prestigous location.
The Museum staff were quite embarassed when he started yelling that the "idiots" had hung it upside down.
Amazing that nobody could tell the difference.
Is it Art ? Or is it Crap ?
All in the eyes of the viewer I suppose....
