I enjoyed the movie. As a matter of fact toward the end when he finally decided to leave Tibet and was about to enter India have a tortuous journey, I thought I was about to break down and start crying right in the movie theater.
The movie did not follow the typical Hollywood formula of violence and sex (Not that I have anything against that especially the sex part), but the story of the 14th Dali Lama coming of age and the difficulties and suffering he and the people of Tibet encountered at the hands of the Chinese provided enough drama for me.. But I must admit I have never been to a movie were I have heard so much snoring..ZZZZZZZZZ.
