This movie is perfect. The story, the acting, the look. I never saw chinatown so i guess this movie was also a completely new experience for me. but that's not important. I am sure this movie can stand on its own. It has such a great story. 2 cops that face deep psycological conflicts are being manipulated by others but manage to breake away and redefine themselves.
L.A.C. also makes statements about friendship, romance, and corruption along the way. It's brilliant how in the first half of the movie all the events that seem to be put in to develop the characters turn out to be parts of the grand puzzle. forget suspense wannabes like game or conspiracy theory, this is the one.
