03/30/98: Worth seeing again, and again.

Posted By: Filmbuff

It's nice to see that there are some other people who can appreciate a good film out there. "L.A. Confidential" was clearly the best movie of the year, from plot to characterization to look. Finally, a film that you have to use your brain to watch. Kim deserved her Oscar and Curtis Hanson definately was well rewarded for his screenplay. Too bad it was robbed of best picture. I would have liked to see Kevin Spacey get a nomination also, but it was a tough field and in a lesser year he would have been there. Also, from what I gather this forum was emptied recently and re-started. I didn't see it before, but I'm glad that, for the most part, this one has stuck to discussing the movie.
