Scene 8 - Saturday night
The coffin in Mia’s office opens to reveal a staircase to a hidden room. Mia steps out, followed by the missing Slothrop.
“Thanks for letting me stay here, Miss Mia. I just needed some time to think.”
“I understand perfectly, my pet. A love of mine died once too.”
“Well, yes, but you killed him.”
“I know, but he deserved it. He displeased me.”
“Displeased you? That’s all?”
“That’sssss enough.”
“Well, I didn’t kill Skilly.”
“If that’sssss your ssssstory.”
“Thanks again, Miss Mia. I’ve got to go; I want to find the real killer.”
Slothrop exits the back way, out Mia’s office, down into the street, and runs right into the waiting Coaster and Slater.
“Whooeee,” says Coaster, quite a bit louder this time.
