While I love a good movie I haven't found the reason nor will to pay the cinemas a visit and fork over the usual $8.50 lately. Usually this slump is broken when a title comes out that compells me to go, or my wife drags me. So lets look at what's to offer, and maybe we'll get some insite as to what compels a person to fork over their $8.50, without knowing entirely what they're getting themselves into, in the first place.
The choices are as follows:
-Ladder 49 (obviously 9-11 exploitation) it's been done before, backdraft anyone?
-Friday Night Lights (sports exploitation) I'll do myself a favor and rent, "Hoosiers" and watch it repeatedly
-A shark Tale (I've seen Jaws, could this go were Jaws didn't?)
-The Forgotten (It's been in theaters a while now, could this be the movie that gets me to go back?)
-That Skycaptain Thing (What the F**k is this?)
-Alfie (Is this a romantic comedy? Probably is, won't see it then)
-Resident Evil (Resident Evil was a Playstation game and should remain that way)
-Shawn of the Dead (I've heard things...)
And there you have it folks, just gimme a good reason to go and I'm there, it's hard to give the public a reason to see a movie without giving the whole story away. I hear the Shawshank redemption is comming around again, I've seen it counless times but it would be worth the $8.50 even though I already own a copy.
