In fact, here's exactly what I said about "too much of a good thing":
"It started off well enough -- looked like it was going to a pure 'Jaws' rip off with a good dose of sarcasm (which you guys know I love). Half-way through the movie I overdosed. There is a such thing as too much of a good thing."
Good call. I don't know how "entertaining" I'd call "Lake Placid," but for the most part I agree with your assessment.
