is something I keep addressing because the issue has come up several times from liquid and you. For the record, Tom Cruise's physician role did not ruin the entire 2 and 3/4 hour movie for me.
I listed several aspects of the movie which I didn't enjoy. The final line in the movie just added to my overall disdain for a movie which could have been utterly fascinating, considering the subject matter. Nicole Kidman was the only person who I felt delivered the goods.
I wouldn't discourage anyone from seeing this movie. I actually highly recommend seeing it as it is Kubrick's last film and his films are meant to make people think and formulate their own thoughts and perceptions. I have read reviews which praise the movie to high heaven and others which slam the movie to hell (one negative review from the Washington Post even dissed Tom Cruise further by stating that he just can't act.....which I disagree with)
Believe me, I'm not the only one who didn't like this movie.
