Convicted rapist/murderer Matthew Poncelet (Sean Penn in a break from his 'reporter' duties) is electrocuted and becomes a re-animated, yet angrily sullen corpse bent on brain eating destruction. Sister Helen Prejean (Susan Sarandon in a break from her Maybeline(?) commercials) is a nun who champion's Zombie Poncelet's cause in a liberal sob- fest of 'let the misunderstood brain eater just make his way'. Directed by Tim Robbins (in a break from his WotW duties).
