Which means Romero is saying illegal immigrants want to come here and kill us and destroy are society, absorbing some Americans into a collective culture, i.e. COMMUNISM. So much for his left wing social commentary.
Actually, I haven't seen the film. And have no intentions to. Letting smart zombies survive is the stupidest fucking thing I've ever heard.
It's like deciding NOT to kill the shark in JAWS. "He's just doing his thing".
