Mia's pinned you on one of your classical stupidities. You just can't seem to understand that current predictions modify future behaviour and future outcomes.
U$40 billion (or some such amount) was spent fixing Y2K bugs - hardware & software. Then fuckwits (like you) say "Y2k bug was a myth."
A friend had a headache and took two headache tablets. Ten minutes later she said "I shouldn't have taken those tablets, my headache has gone." She's never lived it down.
The Club of Rome DID NOT say we'll run out of this and that. What they said was:
(a) the known reserves of resource A are X units.
(b) resource A is consumed at a rate of Y units p/a
(c) on present trends resource A will be exhausted in X/Y years.
Get a brain, PLEASE. (I said that, not the Club of Rome).
