I'd really like to hear what I missed.The only band I really listened to during that period was Poison,and they were glam rock.Luckily,we have several kick-butt metal radio shows in Cleveland,and more than a few excellent bands.(Crypt Kicker,Biaxadent,Hemdale,Embalmer,Schnauzer,and others.)
Have you heard early White Zombie?I mean pre-LA SEXORCISTO. I found SOUL-CRUSHER(which I was told was out of print)and they're really raw,but still good.Then I found MAKE THEM DIE SLOWLY.(This was in the space of two weeks!)and the guitar sound was beginning to morph into what they sound like now.
