Had very little whatsoever to do with Last Man Standing, but I'm not complaining a bit. I think you have won the "Post of The Week" award, and its not even Friday yet. Your Sherlock Holmes analogy was funny as hell, and all too accurate.
I too went through the experience that was Die Hard 3. I didn't think it was a bad flick, but I wasn't expecting much. I watch Bruce Willis to see him kick ass, not for his acting ability or choice of scripts.
The first thought that went through my head when I saw the trailer for Last Man Standing was, "Oh Jesus, not again." Needless to say, I'm not rushing out to see it.
