I was hoping that Burton had knocked it out of the park with this one. I wonder, though, about your "Forest Gump" comments. Of course, I need to see this film first, but here's my question: Obviously, we're meant to take the stories in "FG" at face value. We're supposed to believe that these things happened as told & that Gump "happened" upon these events. From what I've heard about "BF," we're really not supposed to take Finney's tall tale's at face value. He's more proactive than Gump, but there's also something dangerous about his stories & his creation of them. Did you get this, or did the 2 films really seem similar?
