I know what you mean about unintentional plagiarism. I have a few students (nice kids but with the IQ of tree bark) who honestly would not consider cutting and pasting from the internet plagiarism. But this girl is one of the smart ones. We spent a whole day on the issue of plagiarism; types, definitions, etc. In addition, they had to have at least 2 outside sources for this last paper, with in-text and bibliographic citation. She had a paragraph at the beginning and a paragraph at the end which she apparently wrote and in each was one quote which she duly cited. The six pages in between were copied word for word from a site that I found simply by googling.
