...I had my "important" classes and my "not so important" classes. Even without consciously making a decision about which classes fell into which category, the classes had a way of making that decision for me. Typically, the classes that were the core of my major got the most attention and the "carry over from high school" classes, such as English, squatted in the "not so important" category.
