the SOS is all messed up in the BCS. Beating the 8-4 Florida Gators would have been the same as beating the 8-4 Memphis Tigers (essentially) for SOS considerations. Team A could play 5 home games & 7 road games while team B plays 7 home games & 5 road games (against similar competition), and they have the same SOS.
