A masterpiece! Anyone who can actually call Leaving Las Vegas TRASH, obviously has no taste in good movies, whatsoever! This movie is one of the best depictions of reality I have seen. We can all relate to Ben and Sera, two hopeless characters who are lost in a town of vice, a town of lost souls, two people who are so different yet have so much in common, two people that have corrupted their souls in the eyes of society, and two people who because of all this find an incredible need for each other and an awsome unconditional blind love for one another. Among other things this movie acts as profound statement on societies problems with alcoholism, prostitution, vice, and corruption. Anyone who didn't like the movie owes it to themselves to rent it again and put aside all the uncomfortable feelings they had watching it the first time and realize that prostitution and addiction are two of the biggest problems in the world. Don't hide from something new, don't fear what you don't know, embace what you don't understand and in turn learn a little about yourself in the process. And to the person over @ nope.com or whatever who called it trash, if your feeble brain can't comprehend, don't worry, just sit back and relax with a Stallone movie or some other brainless movie on the same wave length.
