I know I'll upset a lot of people by saying this, but this is what I think: Gwyneth is an okay actress, but there are so many others more talented, who are not nearly as famous, as popular as she is. One example is Gwyneth's mom, Blythe Danner.
It seems to me that Gwyneth is a flawed copy of Blythe. The physical resemblance is there, but Blythe is much more beautiful than Gwynnie is, really gorgeous. Gwyneth is tall, thin, and because of that, she has a 'classy' presence. Still, she doesn't have the kind of natural elegance her mother has: Blythe, like classic actresses such as Audrey Hepburn, can wear anything, dress really casually, and still look classy and elegant, while the wrong outfit makes Gwyneth look plain ordinary and even bad sometimes. She depends a lot on famous designers clothes to look 'like a princess', and comparing her to Grace Kelly was way over the top, imho.
Now, the talent. Blythe Danner is a great actress, really great. She's certainly more talented than Gwyneth, and she's not recognized. I still hope that someday Blythe will get the chance to have a big part in a great movie and receive an Oscar nod.
