Wow. The way he puts it, it almost sounds like that the Africans loaded onto the ships almost VOLUNTEERED to go. And never mind that if they'd kept the religion they'd had in the first place instead of getting The White Man's God shoved down their throats, Martin Luther King might have been kinda like a "voudoun" practitioner (and DEFINITELY NOT named "Martin Luther").
The profound ignorance of history and disregard for history that this quote bespeaks would be sad if it weren't a quote from the President of the United States.
