12/19/04: So does this flick count as steampunk?

All the ads make it look like it's got that essential grimy quasi-Victorian look with plenty of nifty gadgetry of the steam and clockwork variety. I can't really think of ANY movies that fit the steampunk mold - Brazil and City of Lost Children come closest, I suppose, and Wild Wild West had the properly impossible technology but lacked the dark undertones and, well, kinda sucked - so it'd be nice to see one finally.
