no eponine? i admit eponine was one of the more captivating characters in the musical, but her part in the story was tremendously overblown. in the novel, eponine is little more than a footnote. marius didn't sing to her as she died, dying himself in her love, he was impatient and wanted her to shut up and die so he could read his precious note from cosette that eponine had died to bring him.
