I've read the book 7 times. I thought the first half of the movie was okay (I've seen better, it could've been worse). The second half was awful. No Eponine. What I found even more annoying was that Marius was the leader of the revolution. Marius actually dropped out of the group that lead the revolution (Friends of the ABC)and when he was in it wasn't all that critical. Enjolras was the person who lead the whole thing. Also, Javert was not after Marius. The Thenardiers (in the movie) were nobodies. And the ending sucked. In the movie it was a happy ending! Javert dies and Jean Valjean is free! At the end of the book Valjean has a long death scene (this is after being very depressed). I could go on and on, but I'm not. The movie sucked and I'll leave it at that.
