I like Jim Carrey, but I don't LOVE Jim Carrey. I absolutely hated him in "Liar, Liar". I'm not "snobbish" or "jealeous", as the original poster says. I liked "Dumb & Dumber", and I thought the first "Ace Ventura" flick was alright, mainly because "Dumb & Dumber" had a decent script, and while "Ace Ventura" didn't have a good script, Jim Carrey's act was still fresh. Now, it seems like he'll do any movie that pays $20 million, and the whole Schtick of him making goofy faces, and swinging his arms around is getting old. Sure, many people love Jim Carrey, but that doesn't make him a comedic genius. Here lately, he's been just an overhyped Pauley Shore.
