11/24/1998: But regarding my other question...

Posted By: Tralala

I do appreciate the help; I've been waiting for the Rosenbaum book (that's the EXPLAINING HITLER essay collection, if I'm not mistaken)to turn back up at the library where I work for a while now.

But the more important question I have now-- since I'm relying for the most part on the Nerin E. Gun biography of Braun for my information, I was curious as to his credibility level and other credits, etc. I have not been able to locate other books by him or any analyses of his work and as such have no idea whether he is considered a "serious" historian or not...I somehow doubt he has attained the level of Hannah Arendt or Will Durant but as long as the mention of his name in academic circles doesn't elicit snickers of condescension I guess I should be OK.

Trusting no one,

Tralala
