"Life is Beautiful" clearly sucks. The idea is not too bad and a decent movie could have been made, but Bergnini functions under the totally false conviction that he is funny. He jumps, grimaces, makes faces and, in general, acts as if he had been paid to destroy the movie. Which he does. He is a mixture of the (fortunately dead) Louis de Funes, a Frenchman who also thought that making faces was the height of comedy, and Jerry Lewis, about whom the least said, the better. I was advised not to see this movie and I ignored the advise. I'll pay more attention next time.
