07/05/07: Mangy, what qualified Halliburton for that contract?

Had Halliburton been engaged in other major logistical efforts? Had Halliburton been engaged in any logistical efforts period?

The way defense contracts work is that major players submit bids and proposals for evaluation. Bechtal can do anything Halliburton Brown ans Root could do construction wise and many things they can't, including the construction of refineries and nuk-u-lar plants. they, in turn, could partner for the purposes of this proposal with a food company, such Gate Gourmet, and several logistics companies such as AMR and Jacobson.

It would not have been that difficult. The Halliburton contract should have been put out for bid at least four years ago. There are many other Bechtels out there that could have put together a proposal. I would like you to point out where Halliburton, prior to the War on Iraq, had ever been paid to deliver fuel or food to anyone.
