07/05/07: I'm too lazy to grill with charcoal or wood

Posted by: Terribella

Probably because I grill so often, it's just easier to turn on the switch of a gas grill. I do use charcoal on special occasions, though, like when I'm in a good mood.

Coaster, have you tried grilling yams in aluminum foil? Just peel, cut into chunks, then add salt, brown sugar and butter. So frickin' yummy.

Also, I've discovered that grilling potatoes in olvie oil rather than butter is much better. I used to slice them thick and grill them with butter, but now I quarter baby reds and grill them using olive oil. They get nice and crispy outside, and don't burn as easily. You can always drizzle on butter when they're done, if ya wanna.

Hmm, I'm thinking maybe I should try the yams with olive oil, too, but I love the way the brown sugar and butter come together to make one beautiful flavah!

Do you usually marinate your chicken breasts before grilling? I'm kinda into the whole marinating thing, so if you have any secret recipes you wanna share...

My biggest challenge in grilling is to get ribs to have that fall-off-the-bone tenderness. Any ideas would be much appreciated. I'm never beneath begging.
