10/26/06: Hmm..

"The Simpsons": Talk about forced and tired! I gave up on the show about 6 years ago. However, i'm with a girl who still gets a kick out of it so i catch it semi-regularly. It's a shadow of it's former-self.

"24": Last season was the absolute worst so far. It's sliding downhill at a high rate of speed. It's too bad that it only became superpopular as "The Guy's Show of choice" in the past year and half, because the first two seasons of this were balls-to-the-wall awesome. I'll watch again next season, but i see it ending very soon.

"House": Yes, this show is cool.

"30 Rock": Watched the pilot episode by random chance. Alec Baldwin is really an effective comedian. The rest of this show is pure trash. I wonder if Rachel Dratch wakes up in the morning and stares at a loaded gun pondering ending it all. I sure hope so.

"Family Guy": I agree, it has it's moment, but mostly it's really forced and tired. I think McFarlane got everything he was gonna get out of the show BEFORE it was cancelled the first time. "American Dad" is far superior in every regard, now.

"Grey's Anatomy": No show pisses me off more in recent years then this one. The main character is absolutely despicable, and then you have Sandra Oh. Ugh. Any show that makes Patrick Demspey HIP again should be construed as a sign of the apocalypse. It's replaced "Gilmore Girls" as my most despised chick-show.

"C.S.I.": Argh. these show SUCK SUCK SUCK. The cops are so fucking smug. I watched one episode of Miami where they were all high and mighty on a guy because he was going thru a divorce with his wife and while they were having an argument, a bullet that was whipped up BY a hurricane flew thru the window and hit the wife, killing her. The husband (who's only crime was being an asshole) panicked, believing (Rightfully!) that no one believe him when he told them the truth, so he just ran and left the body. Now, about the only crime committed by this man was fleeing the scene of the crime, yet the cops were all "You are going down for a LONG time on this one". They never even admitted that they were wrong about him killing her! Dicks!

"Lost": I love this show. Yes the end of season 2 took a turn for the bizarre, and when we finally get the explanation of what's REALLY going on it'll probably be disappointing, but man is the ride an interesting one.

"Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip": i'm another one who just DID NOT get "Sportsnight". However, i've been watching Studio 60 from day one and have actually been enjoying it. It's basically Sorkin's heavyhanded commentary on the state of the television industry. Never mind the fact that his critique is just and right, but goshdarnit i find the character interactions to be alot of fun.

"Prison Break": It is my current guilty pleasure. Show is trash, it's incoherent, it doesn't pay attention to the logisticis of time AT all. The main character is ridiculously superpowered, yet....I keep coming back each and every week. At first it was just because Peter Stormare was so wicked, but he's since died. Now, it's just to see how the rest of the characters turn out. Not a good show, but darned entertaining.

"Jericho": Great idea, horrible execution. I watched the first two episodes. It's neat that Major Dad has another job, though...

"Battlestar Galactica": my favourite show on tv right now.

"Survivor": I don't necessarily LIKE it, but i'm forced to watch it each week, so....meh.

"Shark"; I love me some James Woods. It's just another court room drama, but James Woods is always fun.

"Heroes": Started off slow, but about 3-4 episodes in it's actually getting fairly interseting. Hopefully it can keep building, but the name Jeph Loeb never inspires confidence in me.

"The Unit": I'm not sure what keeps me coming back to this show (okay, it's Dennis Haysbert). The military stuff is usually cool, the army wife is usually stupid. It's all watchable, overall.

"America's Next Top Model": Yeah, well, this is what women do to you. They take your scrotum and they rip it off. I hate Tyra Banks with a passion, but... These are the prices we pay.

I'm currently getting caught up on backseasons of "Smallville" and the "Stargates". Both are terrific shows, though whether they're STILL good i can't quite tell you, yet.

I've also got a bunch of taped episodes of "The Nine" to get thru. We'll see if that's any good.

Other show i don't miss is 'Doctor Who', which is just very enjoyable.
