John C. is the definite highlight of Magnolia(and I'd say Boogie Nights & Hard Eight). No, I'm not his agent. Almost every scene he's in I laugh myself silly. The things he says and the way he delivers are like nooone else.
Some of the scenes in Magnolia(of him in a Cops-esque mode) were shot before Boogie Nights. I guess him and PT have been playing around w/ this character for quite some time. And they met at a Cannes workshop. PT was a big fan of John C. before he worked w/ him. Of course you probably already read all of this in the same article.
