The most glairing occurence in the movie that disputes your interperitation is the scene where Claudias father first confrounts her about his terminal illness. She is whole heartedly unsympathetic to her fathers situation. If it is as you suggest Claudia would have to show some restraint in her outrage. Her two dimentional responce does not leave open the possibility for such a complex interperitation. Her fathers character is portraid sympatheticly because of the objectivity the film maker used in treating the characters. He took great effort to suggest that no one, reguardless of how dispicable their acts may be, is 100% evil. The twist is that the filmmaker also suggests that their are sins that are unredeemable, incest in this case. Claudias behavior is also a textbook abuse victim. These are of corse only my opinions, no greater or less than anyone elses.
