Aside from biblical reference to raining frogs, there have been a surprising number of documented incidents of this phenomenon: Cairo, IL; Kansas City, MO; Buffalo, NY; some place in Britain, to name a few. There is scientific research that explains it as some type of weather phenomenon. I didn't know this before, but after watching the movie I playfully typed "raining frogs" into a search engine and it was like...DAMN, pages of hits on the subject.
