Zero wore his usual mask, as he typed and typed, teasing out minor miracles from within the guts of that hellish contraption. I prefer few things more complex than a targeting computer or a starlite scope. A good lasersight perks up my spirits. But these damned things... I use one when I'm forced to.
"I can only surmise that HairHead has already given us the clues...we have to fit them together in the correct sequence."
"Aye, Zero-lad, tha' stands tae reason, gi'en his predilections. Wha' then?"
Ivan shifted, his pale eyes narrowing thoughtfully.
"He mentioned "Sticky-Notes",Da?"
Zero nodded assent.
"Then would they possibly hold the secret? Is not too much of a long shot, would you not say?'
"There was mention of an American actress/Model, whose major claims to fame were her thick eyebrows, jeans, and being nude as a child star in several films."
"Brooke Shields?" Queried Ivan.
"The very same; how did you guess?"
"I have extensive collection of her movies, posters, jeans commercials on video, Brooke Shields talking fashion doll, Brenda Starr action figure, and every episode of "Suddenly Susan" in existence."
We all stared at him, for different reasons, he turned to the wide-eyed, slack-jawed princess apologetically,
"You know how popular blue jeans are in Mother Russia, She became famous there for that. I fell in love with her as a young boy. Also, eyebrows remind me of Brezhnev."
Zero shook himself, as if awakening from a dream.
"In any event, we do not know the connection that she has to this matter."
Ivan responded- "Perhaps if we do word-searches, in tandem, we can find a connection."
"I would tend to concur. At the very least, we could stumble on to something." Zero opined.
"Multiple search engines, for references to Brooke Shields, in connection with "HairHead", and/or "Masardis'."
"Let us try also reasonable variants of each of those terms or names. The wider a net we spread, the greater a likelihood we have of catching our fish."
"Are you certain that you are not Russian, Comrade Zero?"
We left the two technophiles alone together...(TBC)
