My point was that a lot of libertarian commentators (such as George Will) are the kind of "ivory tower" types which many people accuse liberals of being. They go on and on about what poor people "should" do, but (in many cases) they've never been poor, so they don't know what it's like on a personal level. Of course, many conservative elitists are much worse in this respect then libertarians - Barbara Bush's comment about things "working out" for poor people who've lost everything comes to mind...
