11/06/01: It's just one of those days...

Posted By: the_demon

ok. I'm going on a trip to Las Vegas, leaving on the 21st. Oh no, I have to change my ticket to leave on the 17th. I've booked it through Travelocity.com (aka Service is in the BACK of our book!)

I phone last Tuesday. "Ok, you can change your flight. It'll cost you $50 US to change the ticket, the price change is ~$30. But we need the tickets before we can do anything."

So I courier the ticket first thing on Thursday. Two people say "Oh yeah, it will get there on Friday, no problem."

Tickets arrive on MONDAY. I phone, because nobody in the office is getting back to me. They tell me that the price is now $700, because I'm outside the 14 day booking time, which nobody had bothered to mention to me before.

Goddamn cheating, lying bastards. Any suggestions who I should sue? I tried the courier company; they said that they didn't GUARANTEE it, but they will refund my courier cost. Bastards.

Thank god for gun control laws.

Mike
